I've created these cool T-Shirts with my unique pineapple illustrations printed on. Right now i only have these 6 and i'm about to order a very small stock (20-25 Tee's).
The existing 6 tee's are for sale already in my Etsy shop so if you want to own one of them for summer then don't wait!
They are 100% cotton, printed using Direct Printing where the ink is printed directly into the fabric and then sealed with heat. It can stand many washes and is really comfortable! The T-shirt is also classic comfy stretchy tee.
Available right now in sizes M and L :)
Check them out! :)
I am super exited to check out the Bjørn Wiinblad exhibition. His ceramics and art has been pretty much a part of most Danes interior including my own home growing up! Lately his drawings can be seen in modern versions of ceramics and interior accessories and he's definitely become "IN" again and he continues to inspire with his colourful drawings.
The exhibition runs until January 2016 and is a must if you're in Denmark!
For those interested in seeing his home as well (as artists homes are usually quite interesting) , it is possible to visit his home as well: http://en.bjornwiinblad.dk/
** Please note the house is temporarily closed until the end of the exhibition in January 2016!
"Triangular noses and almond eyes surrounded by intricate curlicues and intense colours. For some people Bjørn Wiinblad evokes memories of tiled tables and mantelpieces, for others his colourful flourishes and luxuriant forms are the essence of retro-cool. ARKEN Museum of Modern Art presents the most comprehensive exhibition ever of this unique figure in Danish art, design and artist-craftsmanship.
The wide-ranging artist Bjørn Wiinblad (1918-2006) was a phenomenal image-maker and imaginative storyteller. Including drawings, posters, gouaches, one-off ceramics, stage design and huge tapestries, the exhibition shows new and surprising perspectives on a Wiinblad, who we all know, and demonstrates a modern wide-ranging artist, who was much more than plaques."
Here's one of our Wiinblad ceramics that we've had in our home since the 80's :)
And here's some of the new home decor accessories on the market.
Went to IKEA about 2 weeks ago for one small thing, and of course came out with a lot more than what i needed.
Nevertheless it was hard to say no to this amazing and cheap lamp from IKEA since it fits right into my style and budget!
(Only 299 DKK)! Loving the industrial look and the white and matte gold and patterned wire softens the look which makes it perfect for my bedroom. I try to keep the bedroom as minimalist as possible yet with some few items. I keep the mess for my office ;) The throw on the bed is from Danish store called ILVA and is 100% cotton. The graphic pattern adds a lot and is still in a calming cool colour. :) Greens blues and whites / gold work very well together and with vintage furniture in my opinion. :)
My trippy and colourful pineapples are finally in print as well as my new abstract faces!
They're all recognizable as my work due to the use of my signature style elements such as birds, fish and eyes! Available in my online shop, i only have few of each so get it now! Printed on 300 gram quality paper! Each one is signed by me :)
GET COOL WALL ART!
I've created a new page on my site with HEADBANDS paintings, also currently in exhibition!
I am currently having an exhibition at LA OFICINA office complex in Copenhagen, Denmark!
They have a lot of walls and i've filled quite many of them! :)
You can check out some of the photos on my FB page !
If you read Danish you are welcome to read the official announcement with info about the exhibition here.
So my first NEWS! post here will be about my new Pineapple drawing!
I have always really loved exotic fruits and botanical art and I'm currently very drawn to learning to draw in this genre and to give different mediums a try - for instance water-color.
My preferred medium has always been ink and coloured pencils however the world of water-color and botanical drawings is something i'm very curious about so i'm pretty excited to give this a serious try!
Knowing myself though I will still create some versions of the pineapple in my own abstract signature style and i've already created two really "trippy" pineapples (as a friend named them). Some of my pineapples will be available as prints in early June so keep an eye out!
Here's my 3rd Pineapple drawing that i created using Faber-Castell Pitt Pens (ink) and Prismacolor pencils. The paper could have been chosen more wisely, i used LANA 150 gr. and it was quite bumpy.
For my next drawing i will switch paper for sure to something smoother!
